Lovely chinese food really tasty. I am a fussy eater and they were really good in making up what i asked for they were very flexible when i wanted to change some things in the dish i ordered, and made it exactly how i wanted. Friendly and helpful. Very good size portions as well. Will be going back again.

  • 1 AMOY RESTAURANT- VERY BAD HAIR ON FOOD

VERY BAD I'M AFRAIDWE VISITED AMOY NEW CHINA DINER RESTAURANT IN BLUEWATER.We were not given the menu list. The waitress who seated us disappeared. We had to ask for the menu list of sitting down waiting for long. One of the waitress showed a 'boxer' face. She would not smile or look happy to serve customers. The worse is after waiting for a long time to receive our food, the chicken grilled noodle arrive and whilst eating i discovered a BLACK JET HAIR on my grilled along on my chicken damped in with the Amoy sauce.Very disgusting, there was not many people in the restaurant only another couple who was seated remotely from us.After complaining and returning the chicken grilled noodle, we were told that don't worry it will be taken off from the bill.Customer Service :Very Very Poor & lowChefs / Kitchen Staff: laughing and giggling in the open kitchenFood: too much oily & hairyAtmosphere: cold restaurant , seats small, too close to each other, especially the two seats, the booth by the wall is OK and spacious but the big hanging light and heat gets in your face and is n ot enjoyable. The food is also expensive, very little value for money.WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT OR WILL NOT GO THERE AGAIN.YOU PAY WITH YOUR MONEY, I'm SURE THERE ARE BETTER PLACES OUT THERE, BUT NOT AMOY RESTAURANT!!!!

  • 3 Nice but felt overlooked!

Hmm, I am of mixed opinion on this restaurant. I think you have to bear in mind that it is a 'restaurant' in the middle of a shopping centre and therefore may not be as nice as a stand alone that has to rely on repeat custom as opposed to passing trade.I visited at about 9pm on a Thursday night and there were only about two other couples there so you would expect a fairly speedy service. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were seated at the very end of the seating area and literally had to go and get our waitress so that we could place our order and then again when we wanted to pay. The food came fairly quickly so I think it may just have been a case that we were slightly overlooked. The food was very enjoyable. My partner and I shared the mixed platter (which was delicious, especially the chicken satay in coconut sauce!) and after filling myself up on that, I choose to just get a side order of noodles and a sweet and sour sauce while my companion had a chicken chow mein which was apparently lovely.I would recommend Amoy but I would make sure that I wasn't seated quite so far away from the kitchen area next time!

  • 2 Tasty chinese food

The Amoy restaurant at Bluewater gets really busy so you might have to queue for a long time for a table. I was lucky to get seated in a booth so it gave us some privacy, otherwise the tables are quite close together. There is a varied menu of chinese food with the main meals costing about £13 each. You can watch the chefs prepare the food and it is bought to the table quickly. I had the beef in black bean sauce and it was nice except the broccoli was raw. The worst thing about it was that the service was quite slow. If I go to Bluewater again I would probably try somewhere else before coming back here.

  • 3 Love the cinese food here

I'm a regular at Amoy in Bluewater as the food is great, and service is super fast and the staff are really friendly and polite. Please add some more dessers to the menu though, a nice chocolate cake maybe? :-) the sorbet is sometimes hard to eat.

  • 3 Noodles and rice

From the same people that sell the pre-packed sauces and noodles in the supermarket. This is a noodle bar where they try to promote new and innovative type dishes. Combinations of Eastern and Western styles to make tasty but not necessarily authentic food. A nice place, to eat at the center.
